Suntup Press
Suntup Editions (often referred to as Suntup Press) is an independent publisher specializing in finely crafted limited edition books. They focus on high-quality production, combining elements like expertly designed typography, letterpress and offset printing, commissioned original artwork, and premium bookmaking materials.
The press is known for producing collectible editions of both classic literature and genre works (including horror, fantasy, and science fiction), often in signed, limited runs with multiple states:
Artist Edition — Typically the most accessible, limited to around 750 copies, often with a dust jacket featuring unique illustrations.
Numbered Edition — Usually 250–500 copies, with higher-end bindings (e.g., quarter leather).
Lettered Edition — Extremely limited (26 copies or so), featuring luxurious materials like full leather, onlays, or other premium features, and commanding higher prices.
Their editions frequently include extras such as new forewords/introductions, custom illustrations, and high-quality paper/bindings, making them popular among book collectors who compare them to modern equivalents of fine press traditions (e.g., like the Limited Editions Club).
